SUPPORT HOTEL WORKERS

Hotel workers at the Fairfield New York Manhattan Times Square and the Four Points
Midtown Times Square have authorized an
UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICE STRIKE.
The decision comes after years of negotiations in which management has refused to reach an agreement that would bring wages, benefits, and working conditions in line with union standards across NYC's hotel industry.
On Monday, June 29, the workers began calling for a boycott and began picketing outside of the Times Square hotels.
The workers' union, the Hotel & Gaming Trades Council, AFL-CIO, has filed charges alleging that management has repeatedly violated the National Labor Relations Act.
Throughout years of negotiations, the union has filed multiple charges accusing the hotel of committing unfair labor practices – including failing to bargain in good faith, discriminating against workers because of their support for the union, encouraging workers to get rid of the union, replacing union positions with subcontracted workers, and more.
I’ve given the hotel nine years of my life, working hard every single day. We are the people who make the hotel run. But management gives us no respect in return.
Enough is enough. Management has to follow the law. They want us to believe that we will never win, but that’s not true. We will win. We know our rights and we are ready to strike.

With each unfair labor practice, management
hasn’t scared me.
They've only made me
more determined to win.
